Christmas update

Christmas Carol Row - 6:45am, 18th December

Christmas is coming! And what better way to celebrate than with the traditional Christmas Carols Row with Corio Bay RC? We’ll be setting off in time to get to Shannon Ave bridge by 6:45am for carols, followed by a delicious brekky of mince pies provided by CBRC - and coffee available for purchase, for those of us who aren’t yet quite into the swing of getting up so early!

So we can have an idea of numbers, please let Captain Max captain@barwonrc.asn.au know ASAP if you are interested, and whether you would prefer to be placed in a larger boat or to organise your own crew.

Save The Date - Working Bee - Saturday 2nd January

Now that the club is fully up and running again, it’s time to give the clubhouse a spruce up. On Saturday 2nd January we’ll be holding a working bee to sort through the equipment, carry out minor repairs and give the shed a good clean out. More details to follow.

RV Update and COVID-19

Please read the latest advice from Rowing Victoria about regattas, rowing and Covid-19.

https://www.rowingvictoria.asn.au/news/clubscompetitorssupportersupdate/

It’s fantastic that the regatta format will now be largely returning to normal but remember that some restrictions will remain in place for a while so it’s important to keep up to date with what’s happening at regattas.

You can also keep up to date with Covid-19 policies at BRC through the Members section on the BRC website.

If you are unsure about any of the rules or procedures regarding Covid-19 (or rowing in general!) contact Tanya at info@barwonrc.asn.au.

Upcoming Regattas

Rutherglen Regatta - 9-10th January

The Rutherglen regatta is bound to be a big one this year as it is our first full regatta after restrictions, and entries from other clubs are streaming in.

So get your crews together, accommodation booked, and get ready for a fun weekend that isn’t ALL about rowing - the turtles at Pfeiffer’s winery are hungry and waiting to be fed!
