150th (+2) Anniversary Dinner
Celebrate the rich and successful 150 years after this date at the 150th Aniversary dinner just a bit out of sequence due to Covid-19.
Ticket includes alternative drop three course meal and drinks at bar prices.
150th Annual General Meeting
The 150th Annual General Meeting of the Barwon Rowing Club will be held on the 24 October 2020 at 12 noon.
The purpose of the meeting will be to:
Receive the financial reports of the 2019-2020 season
Receive reports for the 2019-2020 season
Elect the General Committee and Committee for the 2020-2021 season.
Please note the following Rules of the Association:
Rule 26
The election of office-bearers and the committee of the Club shall take place by secret ballot at the annual meeting of the Club.
All such elections of members of the committee shall be in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria. All committee members shall hold office from the date of their election until the date of the annual general meeting next succeeding the date of such election.
Rule 27
All such elections of members of the committee shall be in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria. All committee members shall hold office from the date of their election until the date of the annual general meeting next succeeding the date of such election.
All nominations for office-bearers and the committee of the Club shall: (i) be in writing; (ii) be signed by the proposer and the nominee; (iii) be lodged with the secretary at least seven days before the commencement of the annual meeting.
Rule 28
Only those persons who are members as defined in rule 8 shall have the right to vote at a general meeting or special meeting of the Club; except that in the case of the Annual General Meeting only persons who were members at the close of the immediate past year of the Club or have become members since shall have the right to vote.
Rule 34
No general, special or annual meeting of the Club shall be held except where notice in writing of the date, time and place of such meeting is given by the secretary to each member not less than seven days prior to the date of such meeting.
Rule 36
Notice of any motion which is proposed by any member to be put before a general meeting of the Club shall be given by such member in writing to the secretary not less that 21 days prior to the date of the general meeting before which the motion is to be put. The secretary shall include notice of any motion so received in the notice to members calling a general meeting, in accordance with the provisions of rule 34 above.
